More Murders and Mayhem for the Ministry of Magic
Front Page

Just when the populace was ready to settle down, a new murder was discovered late last night in a London alleyway by a group of young sightseers. Ministry officials are still searching for the other half of the remains.

"It was disgusting," one of the group reports, looking sick, "blood was everywhere..."

The murder is suspected to being connected to the murders of the previous month; however, Aurors are sceptical, as the nature of the murder was vastly different from the Mystery Murders in February.

"The only connection so far is that all three victims are dead, and the circumstances painful," States auror Terra, "and the murder, again, was intelligently done."

When pressed whether or not the rumours of attempting to reinstate Alastor Moody are true, Terra said, "I'm afraid it's come to that."

Lestrange Goes Too Far
Front Page

Early this morning, the highly esteemed Bellatrix Black was charged with assault and temporarily imprisoned after biting one of the fans outside the Malfoy Manor grounds, where the Silver Dragon is currently staying.

"It was only a nibble!" Miss Lestrange claimed, after having a spice shaker and a fork confiscated from her person.

Miss Lestrange is, of course, the aunt to young Draco Malfoy, and very protective of her nephew. It could be agreed to, though, that perhaps she had gone too far.

"Ridiculous," Lucius Malfoy states, fatherly figure to Silver and a distinguished aristocrat among wizarding nobility, "Bellatrix was merely trying to show her irritation at how my son has been harried for the past couple of weeks."

When asked if he had anything to say in defense to his aunt, Silver replied, "I do, in fact. I say leave the woman alone. It's temporary, or in her case, permanent, insanity. She gets hungry at times and who knows, that girl she attacked was probably wearing something that made her look like a strawberry. Aunt Bella does like strawberries."

When asked if he thought this insanity was endangering, Silver shook his head and said, "She's not really insane, she's just... wacky. It's all in good fun."

Miss Lestrange will be released tomorrow.

February is the Month of Love, Murder - and Rock and Roll
Page 13

February seems to be the month of love and music, as the world of entertainment was overwhelmingly swamped with elation when, despite all attempts at subtlety, Nymphadora Tonks, lead singer of her British band Children of Morpheus, arrived in London an hour after midnight. She was immediately set upon by hundreds of fans who recognized her.

"I'm flattered, really," she told the Prophet last night, "Good to know people remember me. Though it was probably just the hair and clothes that gave me away."

While the arrival of Nymphadora is greatly recieved, the Prophet was shocked to discover from an insider that the Silver Dragon also arrived in England nearly two weeks ago, barely escaping his fans in America, and quickly retiring to his parents' home in Wiltshire. Reporters were unable to interview him after this discovery, as his esteemed father came out and warned the crowd that he would press charges if they didn't clear out soon. Reporters left, but the fans stayed, despite several more warnings. When that had no affect, he quickly threatened letting out his wife, and fans dispersed immediately - for the moment.

As those informed in the entertainment world know, Silver Dragon, the stage name for Draco Malfoy, is closely related to Nymphadora. Not only that, but Silver used to be a back-up singer in Nymphadora's ever changing band before going his seperate way with his cousin's blessing.

"Oh, he's great," states Nymphadora, "Draco, that is. His voice was too good just reinforcing mine."

When pressed by reporters if she would be doing a duet with her cousin anytime in the future, she said she hadn't spoken with him yet, but "the thought certainly is appealing. Draco's fun, and I've missed him loads - doing a show with him would be like the old times."

Nymphadora has retired to an unknown flat in London, and has disguised herself for her own privacy. She has, however, promised an interview, after she had settled back in and connected with old friends.

No Developments on the Mystery Murders

After a week of tension, the Ministry of Magic has revealed that it has still not produced even a shred of evidence or leads concerning the murders in the Department of Mysteries.

"The murder is just beyond us over here," auror Williamson told us irritably, "We've gone over the area with a fine-toothed comb, checked out every piece of information available, and it has lead us nowhere. This murder was done by someone skilled, and someone not keen on getting caught."

This news is not well recieved to those in the wizarding community. Witches and wizards abroad express their anger and sudden distrust of the Ministry for being unable to solve the case. Several of those that suspected Lord Voldemort have, however, admitted folly.

"No proof," auror Terra had admitted, "No proof at all. He's got an alibi, and seven witnesses have shown up over the past few days claiming to have seen him. It would be frankly impossible for him to have been the cause."

It has been rumoured that the Ministry may go even as far as to reinstate Alastor Moody, ex-Auror and one of the most skilled investigators the Ministry had ever employed.

"He knows his stuff," Williamson admits, "and he's the best in the field. He's caught more users of the dark arts in the past decades than anyone else, and these muders reek of dark magic."

For more information on Alastor Moody, turn to page 9.

The Quibbler February Edition..................Page 12

That's right. These two well known figures in the magical community are in fact the SAME MAN. The man you know as Cornelius Fudge is in fact a chocolate loving split personality of Dumbledore's gone awry. The headmaster is quite delusional, because he argues with himself.

Fifty-six years ago, as confirmed by reliable witnesses who chose to remain anonymous to protect their identities from Dumble-Fudge (as all who know my theory have affectiately dubbed him) a magical accident occurred in Dumbledore's office, resulting in one of his (many) split personalities taking on its own life.

After all, ladies and gents, Voldemort himself fashioned a new body, so why can't the dear anti-Voldemort accomplish the same?

Albus Dumbledore, not wishing to be found out and be sent to St. Mungo's for his (serious) mental breakdown, hid the resulting baby and secretly had the child adopted by loving parents who could not have children of their own, as a trustworthy midwife testified to me. At Dumbledore's insistence, they changed their names to Mr. and Mrs. Fudge. They named their child Cornelius, and to this day, in spite of all my stirring evidence, they refuse to believe that they adopted a piece of Albus Dumbledore's personality.

It is evident, at this time, that Dumbledore must have had secret (or not so secret, depending whom you ask) ambitions to run the Ministry of Magic.

However, "Fudge" is forever connected to Dumbledore, and so it is only natural that the man (or whatever the bloody thing is) should be as deranged as the man he is a part of.

It is this journalist's opinion that Dumble-Fudge cannot continue to privately hold two positions in the wizarding world, and that something should be done to reunite these two wandering parts of Dumbledore's brain.

Murder at the Ministry of Magic

Wizarding London recieved a vicious shock when, early this morning, the bodies of two Ministry workers were found in the lower levels of the Department of Mysteries.

Nadia Carrol, 24, and Terry Phillips, 67, both scientists and scholars in their respective departments, were found with their limbs bent in unnatural angles and they eyes wide and blank in a fairly unused corridor. While the exact cause of their death is still a mystery, examiners of the bodies confirm that their end was definitely of the more painful sort.

"It certainly is a shock," reflects Karen O'Neil, 45, of the Department of Magical Accidents and Catatrophes, "there hasn't been a death of such terrible proportions in years."

While the murderer(s) remain unknown, an anonymous official commented to the Prophet today that "it's the work of that megalomanic tyrant, Lord Voldemort. It reeks of his work. I'm surprised no one else has figured it out yet."

Bellatrix Lestrange, rumoured to have the confidence of Lord Voldemort, told reporters earlier this evening that "[I'm] frankly quite disgusted with the wizarding world for throwing accusations towards my lord and their benefactor. Such suspicions are the child of an idle and idiosyncratic mind."

Miss Lestrange was unfortunately unable to speak with the Prophet more, due to the fact the flat's other occupant had accidentally set the couch on fire.

Investigations are still in progress, and the Prophet is being continually informed of further developments. The Ministry asks that anyone who knows any information concerning these deaths to immediately send an owl. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

"We want to get to the bottom of this," states Darius Williamson, celebrated auror and prodigy, "it's the least we can do."

Welcoming Message! [28 Jan 2004|02:16pm]

[ mood | cheerful ]

'Allo, 'allo. This is Mari, I'm a moderator for Black Curtain.

As stated in the user info, the plot is currently that Lord Voldemort (bless his villainous heart) has basically 'taken over' the Wizarding World.

Voldemort has discovered a way to cheat death, in a fashion. He used a resurrection spell to bring back several Ministry officials killed in the second War in an attempt to redeem himself - an attempt that did not fail. Voldemort was granted full pardon, and openly he is a reformed criminal, kind and generous. Behind the scenes he controlled nearly every aspect of the law, and his advice was considered good advice.

Not everyone believed it at first, but after over five years of nothing but growth and peace, the wizarding world is letting up. However, the Order of the Phoenix, still strong and yet again held in secret, is not buying the whole deal.

Again, people of all types are starting to die, and when Voldemort refuses to bring back the more influential of the dying, the Ministry has realized that they've been fooled.

In an attempt to regain their lost pride, they are pretending that they don't notice Voldemort's refusal, instead digging deep into their resources and creating copied spells of bringing back the dead, spells that have kinks and mistakes that differ greatly from Voldemort's original.

These spells leave the newly awakened with chunks of their memory missing, and physically, they are weakened, more prone to disease and sickness.

Which is a damn shame, because the Order's gotten hold of this spell, and is currently putting it to use...

Now then, how this affects everyone! ^^

Order Members:
Basically, you're trying to get along with life and fight Voldemort at the same time. But now that the Ministry is getting wind of Voldie's little rebellion, it's becoming slightly easier. The order is, however, working in secret.

Voldemort's given special attention to this part of the Ministry. It appears that Dark Wizards and Witches have just plain disappeared... though in fact he's just manipulating the whole department, and pulling strings to cover up cases of extremely criminal behaviour. Most Aurors don't know this, but are beginning to suspect.

The Old Crowd:
This includes Harry and co... well, you can basically be anywhere and anyplace you want, you've got free reign.

The Old, Old Crowd:
Marauders and Co. Alot of you dead guys can be back, owing to the Order's little bout of resurrecting.

Death Eaters:
All of you were given full pardons, and basically get to live the life you wanted... but you're still under Voldemort's rule.

Ministry Members:
You can either like Voldie, or hate him. Go, get creative =)

Now then!
The posting of owls and messages shall be in this community. Logs stay in the character journals. Anything else should usually pop up in the OOC community, here. If you have any questons or concerns about what I've just said, however, comment on this entry.

And thus, I am finished. ^^
